That's so sick! S!CK I'm not much of a PC gamer (partly because -- as you can see -- I run a Mac and I'd rather stick with just my two current PlayStations), but I'd love to have that sort of modification on my laptop. Too bad I can't...
This would have been really funny if Sweetie Belle was looking at a screen showing Sweetie Belle looking at a screen showing Sweetie Belle looking at a screen showing Sweetie Belle looking at a screen... etc.
Macbooks are good, specially for art stuff. But MAN are they expensive as hell. Luckily for me i just bought a Lenovo ideapa P400 Touch (jeez, could they have made the name any longer?) that is a freaking power horse, and only cost me around $600. I used it as my work station now for all my PIRL's
Also that fact that it has a touch screen is awesome
I used to have a HP laptop about 4 years ago, and it ran Windows Vista. I had so many problems with it like: freezing, crashing, viruses, the tiny RAM space (and Hard Drive) with the rubbish intel. All together giving me a horrible experience living with it. Imagine this, a 2 minute 240p video, recorded with the laptop cam, and with minimum editing made, taking over an hour to render with Window Crap Maker... sorry i meant Movie* Maker. I also struggled just to open iTunes with it.
Anyway, I got this Mac in Q4 of 2010, and I absolutely LOVE IT! Before I forget, this's one of two special edition MacBooks made from 2008 - 2010. This being the first White one, and the second was a limited Black Mac. images.canadianlisted.com/nlar… I got my white for the EQUIVALENT of 1,432$ Which is cheap considering Macs here can reach an EQUIVALENT of over 2,000$. Again, equivalent, not the actual price. And it's damn worth it! This computer is so good, I don't think I see myself leaving Macs... ever!
Well i was debating getting a mac, but they are insanely expensive and i am still stuck on minimum wage here. As for windows 8 i hated it too at first when i first tried it on one of our home computers that ran it, and of course all none mac computer's pretty much come with it now a day's so i knew i was going to be stuck with it. But since i got my laptop it has not been that bad. The problem is people are so used to things like Windows XP and MAC OS that this is a totally different OS, and because it's different they hate it automatically (like Equestria Girls and Twilicorn). However after giving it more of a chance and getting used to how it works, i now really like it. One thing that helped me is i have a touch screen laptop, so i can go through the start menu by flicking my finger across the screen and tapping the icon's, like the OS was made to work with. The start screen is similar to that on my PS Vita, so treating as such made it much easier to use.
Anyway, yeah I agree. It's likely that you'll dislike something new to yourself if you haven't seen before or knew it well. I haven't appreciated my Mac (being so different from Windows) only just a year back of the 3 years total I mentioned, because I learned so much about it. Add to that that my tendency to judge a book from its cover is one of my cons.
This may be out-of-context: I judged EqG and Twilicorn far too early (just like I judged mlp prior joining the fandom). But look at me right now! I'm an MLP fan, I like EqG, and I like Twilicorn... somewhat...
Have fun with your Windows 8! As for me, this will be one of the few things I just can't embrace like I did with the aforementioned stuff. Why? I had an experience with Microsoft that I won't forget. (My HP laptop, and an Xbox 360 that I sold). I prefer staying with Apple and their iPhone/Macs and Sony with their PS3/PS4.
Thanks, and yea i have sometimes have that tendency to judge as well. Luckily now i also like EQG, and am embracing Twilicorn a bit more (specially since Twi is best pony, though it's hard for me because that kind of makes her also best princess but Luna already has that spot for me....)
As for mac's i used to hate them as much as i used to hate windows 8, but now i like both of them. Though i will probably never own a mac as you need to own a diamond mind first just to afford the darn compute, never mind everything else Apple sells with it. Which makes me wonder how are we in such a bad economy here in America yet i see all these American people with Mac's, Iphones, etc which cost an arm and a leg, and a head to boot.
Luckily for me, I got my Mac in a perfect year. 2009 & 2010 were the only two this model was on sell here, and it was the cheapest model as well. I'm not planning on getting a new Mac at the moment (I have reasons) because you're right about their prices. I'd rather save that for something else. Oh! And as for Windows 8, I wanted to say that you are so lucky you got a touch screen laptop! I need one of those.
yea, they are pretty cool. Mine cost my $600 (not sure if i mentioned that already), but for that price i got a great graphics card, huge memory, amazing screen resolution, and an HD webcam attached. so pretty much worth the higher price. Well that and it should outlive my $200 laptop i bought at Walmart previously that died after half a year...
